Cool Valley Teapills are very useful for Heat and Fire presenting with fever, thirst, sensation of heat, burning or irritability in the chest and diaphragm area, red face, red eyes, red or chapped dry lips, red swollen gums, mouth or tongue ulcers, toothache, sore throat, headache, nosebleed, constipation, burning and/or concentrated urination, skin rash on the upper body with redness and inflammation.
Your symptoms may be exacerbated by spicy food or alcohol. In severe cases the fire may manifest in Shen [spirit] disturbance with symptoms such as delirious speech or mania. The tongue may be red, red sides, with a dry yellow or white coat.

Cautions, Contraindications & Usage
Contraindicated during pregnancy and menstruation. Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Contraindicated in the absence of excess heat patterns with constipation. Use with caution in breast-feeding women as Da huang/rhubarb can pass through the breast milk causing colic and diarrhea in infants. May cause mild abdominal cramping in sensitive patients. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness.
Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In acute or severe disorders, dosage may be increased to 8-12 pills every 2-4 hours, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used short-term for few days to a few weeks. This is a very cold formula, and can easily damage the Spleen and Stomach Qi. Once acute signs of heat accumulation are gone, this formula should be discontinued.
