Cautions, Contraindications & Usage
Contraindicated during pregnancy, or with hemorrhagic disorders. Contraindicated for conditions due to damp-cold. Contraindicated for very weak or deficient patients. Use with caution in Spleen deficient patients with a tendency to loose stools, diarrhea, poor appetite or chronic digestive weakness. Use with caution in patients on anti-coagulant therapy.
Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In severe cases or in the initial phases of treatment, dosage may be increased to 4-6 tablets 3 times per day, then reduced to a maintenance dose as the treatment takes effect. May be used medium-term for a few weeks to a few months. If administered alone for acute symptoms, it is usually taken for up to a couple weeks. It may be administered along with a constitutional formula for a few months to treat damp-heat in the Liver and Gall Bladder.
